In order to continue to be an effective therapist, I believe that it is important to keep up with the latest research. I have pursued advanced training in the fields of therapeutic nutrition and aging, completing the Food as Medicine program through the Center for Mind-Body Medicine in Washington, DC and receiving a Certificate in Aging from the Institute for Geriatric Social Work at Boston University. Most recently, I attended the first Conference on Integrative Mental Health at the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine.
My professional areas of interest include the connection between food and mood and the research findings of interpersonal neurobiology as it provides insights into early brain development and subsequent changes over the life span.
